Well, I didn't get through last weekend very well. My Pack got shut out by the Pats 35 to 0 and of course my Tide didn't "fear the thumb" quite enough. I have mixed emotions on this firing Shula thing. Yes, I think he's had enough time to prove if he's a good coach and he hasn't done it, but I also don't know if he got rid of some other personnel and made new hires and LET THEM DO THEIR JOBS that it might be better. But I don't know if he'll actually let them do their jobs. I don't know if he can get out of the NFL mentality long enough or if he'll fire his buddies to save himself...time will tell. This has taken on a life of its own and I don't believe that Mal Moore can do enough damage control outside of firing him. It's crazy! I do believe that my Tide will rise from the ashes eventually, but I hate to muddle through many more seasons like this one - I barely remember in my lifetime where we've worried about getting to a bowl game!
